This program, offered by a European partnership of universities and NGOs in collaboration with local communities, empowers future changemakers through interdisciplinary, problem-based learning. It develops the innovative skills needed to address social, cultural, and environmental challenges. Social entrepreneurs use business tools to solve these problems, with success measured by social impact rather than profit. The program includes live online sessions open to a global audience and interdisciplinary group work with European students. Students can also apply for a travel grant to attend a 10-day workshop in Romania. The online module consists of twelve 90-minute sessions featuring lectures, reading materials, group work, and various learning activities. The course provides foundational knowledge in community-based social innovation and social entrepreneurship within a European and global context. Nürtingen students will collaborate with local citizens and stakeholders to develop social business ideas that address community challenges.
