Content: | This module provides a deep understanding of international sustainability and climate policies, European decision-making structures, and lobbying strategies. Students will learn how to engage with decision-makers, participate in climate debates, and work effectively in international organizations and NGOs. Key topics include global and regional energy markets, energy security, efficiency, and renewables, as well as market structures in European electricity and gas markets. The module also covers EU institutions, political processes, and lobbying at the EU level. Additionally, students will explore international climate policies, emissions trading, economic instruments for climate mitigation, and current climate protection challenges. Through lectures, online learning, and interactive discussions, students will gain essential skills for global sustainability and climate governance. |
